| Fire Related Graduate Degree ProgramsThe following area lists graduate level fire related degree programs. There are several different types of fire related degree programs at the Masters and Doctorates levels. Typical degree titles include Fire Administration, Fire Safety, Fire Management, Fire Engineering, and others. The vast majority of degree programs offered at this level are local programs delivered by colleges or universities. This list contains programs that result in the award of a regionally accredited degree unless otherwise noted. See my note on accreditation. Distance learning programs are graduate level fire related degree programs offered through alternative delivery methods such as video, computer, or correspondence. Currently there are few degree programs offered at this level through distance learning methods. Note: The degree programs listed within this web site are necessarily fire specific in title and content. The author of this web site recognizes that there are many other degree programs that are relevant to the fire service, such as Public Administration, Political Science, or Human Resource Management, however those programs are widely available at most colleges and universities. As such, they are deemed outside the scope of this web site and will not be listed. |
